It was a full house at today's event and we would like to thank everyone for making it out! Today's course of fire was based off of the current FBI qualifier. We modified the scoring system since the official qualifier requires drawing from concealment. The qualifier had two areas of score.....time and total score...Congratulations to everyone who passed.... Please click here for the scores... We look forward to seeing everyone next month February 22nd !

Would you really really really rather be fishing?
As the Bass Pro Shop Commercial asks.....
Well 2015 is here and I should be out fishing in March. How about you? I fish mostly freshwater but do some saltwater too. Largemouth bass, Smallmouth bass and Pickerel are what I am most successful with. Trout and Stripers, I love catching them but I am not as successful with. I fish from shore, kayak fish and fish on some friends' boats.
I know LRGC has a bunch of fisherman. I would like to connect with the other fishermen in our club and see about getting us working and enjoying fishing together. Some thoughts I had are:
· Local Fishing trips to local lakes
· Camping/fishing trips in PA
· Fishing clinics/meeting to discuss tactics etc(more for off season)
· An email list that we can update each other and discuss what’s hot
So are you interested? Shoot me an email so we can try to get all of us LRGC fisherman out together in 2015.
Sporting Clays 3 Shot Challenge December 14th 2014 / Another record broken!
Well we did it again. We broke another record. We had the last of our 3 - Shot Challenge Sporting Clays shoot of the season on Sunday December 14th. The day started with cloudy skies and cool temperatures. Some minor electrical problems delayed the start time about thirty minutes and I would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding. The first squad took to the line for what would be another record breaking day for the committee. 97 entrants signed in for a challenging course of Rabbits, flushing Teal, landing Ducks and Flying Monkeys along with other tricky target presentations. Our previous record of 91 entries was shattered.
The sun stayed away and left a great day for clays shooters to practice and hone their shooting skills. Numerous new shooters enjoyed the challenges of the Sporting Clays course as did the seasoned veterans of the sport.
With comments from the shooters, we use suggestions to help us improve the quality of the shoot and present even more interesting targets, but not always hard for future events.
Our last Sporting Clays shoot of the season will be on December 28th 2014 @ 9:00 am. This will also be our annual Christmas shoot and tends to be our busiest shoot of our year. Come out early, shoot a round and have some lunch.
On behalf of the Sporting Clays Committee,
Thank you for a phenomenal year, we are striving to make it bigger and better for next year.
Have a Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy Holiday season.
